After the early arrival of no. 2 son we have been rather slack and have neglected our Blog updates…. So much has happened…
Knight farm is really coming to life, 9 months on we have started to feel more settled.
Over the past few months we have had some great times, helped by the great weather. All that lovely sunshine has meant the grass has grown and many areas of the farm were starting to look rather wild. A little tidying up and we have a pretty farm again.
Paul, who has autism, is one of our regular lads. He has been a wonderful help and does a fantastic job with the strimmer.
Jon loves to do a bit of furniture restoration so we have been getting colourful with the Care Garden furniture…. And Mark loves nothing more than eating wild fruit so he with Jon have assisted Luke in planting a Fruit Garden. Hopefully we will be able to harvest the berries before Mark eats them all 🙂
Our Sheep now all look rather bare, they reminded me of plucked chickens when they emerged freshly shawn… shearing in the heat wasn’t much fun and oh how Luke stank afterwards! It was a lovely sight though. Luke’s father, a beef farmer, came over to have a go and Solomon was fascinated so we had 3 generations of knights hard at work!
That isn’t even half of the activity here at Knight farm…. But I wouldn’t want to bore you with an essay!
More updates soon (I hope!) x
